Who doesn't love a paid holiday? Labor Day is a bittersweet holiday--it's the unofficial end of summer but a great excuse to take a mini vacay! This year we took a hop, skip, and a jump down to Ocean Isle Beach where my grandparents have a home. It's the perfect family beach half way between Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC. I grew up coming to this beach, so it's extra special to me, and sharing it with my hubby makes me extra happy! Check out all of our adventures... Day 1 - We survived hurricane Hermine! That called for lunch at Sharkey's and an afternoon of cozying up on the couch! So glad I packed my Hunter Wellies! By the next morning, the storm had passed, and the skies were clear; the air was fresh, and the temperature was cool-- perfect conditions for a morning run down to the beach! Our cute accommodations for the weekend! Finally some time on the beach!! We were lucky enough to have two perfect days!! Dinner at our favorite place - The Provision Company at Holden Beach (just the next island over). It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall type of place, but the atmosphere is FUN and the shrimp burgers are OUT OF THIS WORLD! A morning paddle board sesh in the canal! It's the perfect way to exercise and look at the pretty houses :) We spent our last night in - ordered pizza, played corn hole, drank gin & tonics, and played one epic game of cards against humanity! It's always sad to leave the beach, but we made the trip home a special one! A pit stop at our favorite Ice-Cream/Farm stand for some fresh fruit & a snack! Peaches & Cream is a MUST. Cheers to a fun and fabulous weekend at the beach! I hope you all had safe, fun Labor Day weekends. Until next year...the beach will be waiting! Thanks for reading! XX-Molly

I'm pretty sure that all grandmothers are angels walking the Earth, and my Grandma Jean is no exception. This year she is celebrating 89 years of life, so we decided to throw her a surprise birthday party. I think she earned it! My whole family was in town; and for the first time in many years, we were all together. I am proud to say that we PULLED IT OFF ! Check out a peek at our celebration below! Of course with everyone being together, we had to take new family pictures...which was quite the show. Trying to arrange almost 20 adults and 7 children is no small task; and in the process, I'm pretty sure we provided great, free entertainment for our neighbors. My Grandma Jean has 3 daughters, 3 sons-in-law, 6 grandchildren, 1 granddaughter-in-law, 3 grandson-in-laws, & 7 great-grand children. We are quite the crew, and I wouldn't have it any other way! Cheers to family y'all!! Thanks for reading XX- Molly Y'all fall is on its way!!! Which means...cooler temperatures, pumpkin everything, and an excuse for an update to the wardrobe! So, I thought I would share some of my favorite looks for the upcoming season. Fall in the South can be a tough one; sometimes it's cool and sometimes it's still a little warm; so having items that pull double duty is a must! This dress is one of my favorite finds for fall! It's suede with a laser cut pattern and is perfect for layering! The fringe booties are a must, and they are an unbeatable bargain! The dress is from my "Bestie's" store, Number Fourteen. Check out her website and be sure to follow along on SnapChat; it's the best way to order all of her new looks! The booties are from Target. This dress is another favorite of mine that transitions easily from season to season. It's light weight, but can easily be layered to create any look. And... as an added bonus, it has pockets! Shop the dress here at - Uniqlo Check you nearest Anne Taylor Loft Outlet for the necklace - it's a great staple! I decided to carry my summer bag into fall this year; I just can't get enough of the fringe! Click here to shop Rebecca Minkoff products. This look has all the classics wrapped into one and lots of color! Don't be afraid to wear your bright colors into fall. -A great pair of denim jeans -A classic white button-down shirt -A wrap -A fun scarf My favorite jeans are Paige denim (I basically own them in all colors.) The button-down shirt can be found at Crown and Ivy; it's great because it offers a little stretch. The wrap comes in many different colors and can be found at any major department store. And the scarf shown here is old; but it is from Target, and they offer great scarfs at an affordable price - so go crazy! This is a great cute, casual Saturday afternoon look. And yes, I am an advocate of wearing white jeans in the fall! I think they look crisp and pair well with fall sweaters and boots. So, don't pack these away just because Labor Day has passed. The jacket is also an Anne Taylor Loft find as well as the scarf, which I love because it has a chambray look with metallic yarn intertwined. The shirt layered underneath is a plain grey, peplum t-shirt from Number Fourteen. The army jacket look is still strong, and I'm a fan of the vest; it can be layered with more and worn for
a longer period of time. This scarf is one of my absolute favorites, It's by Stella & Dot; and they just brought back a new version for this year's fall collection. It is an absolute must!!! Shop here through my friend Charlotte & support another girl boss! Hopefully, these looks have helped get you in the spirit of fall and learned how to transition your summer wardrobe. Fall is all about the layers, layers, layers! So stock up!! Cheers to cooler weather and turning leaves! Thanks for reading - Molly The 2016 U.S. Open is stirring up happy feelings as I reminisce over our trip to the U.S. Open last year. It was SO MUCH FUN! A huge thanks to our friends for filling us in on all the deets and the "how-to's." We'll never forget our first U.S. Open or Honey Deuce drink ;) Take a walk down memory lane with me and get a glimpse of our fun-filled day! Even though I have only been one time and don't consider myself an expert, my friend Santhi is... so here's a list of her tips for conquering the U.S. Open: -Monday (Labor Day) is an excellent day to go -Buy grounds tickets -- you can walk all over the property, and you have access to everything but the Arthur Ash stadium. -Check the schedule before hand and plan out who you want to see and where. Many of the famous players can be seen on the warm-up courts, and that's a great way to catch a glimpse without paying the price for an Arthur Ash seat. -The famous Honey Deuce cocktail is a MUST! -Collect as many U.S. Open cups as you can -Be sure to eat well and stay hydrated...it can be a long, hot, fun-filled day! P.S. - I would personally recommend this to anyone for Labor Day plans; so put it in your calendar NOW for next year-- we already have! Thanks for reading y'all! Cheers to the long weekend ahead!!
