Y'all, If this screened in porch doesn't scream Southern Living magazine to you, I don't know what does! It doesn't get much more fabulous than this!! Indoor-outdoor living in the spring and summer time is a given, especially in the South! Just picture yourself in this space entertaining family and friends on a warm summer evening or taking a long, peaceful nap on a Sunday afternoon... dreamy right? This space exudes LUXURY, but I'll show you how to achieve this look for your own home with affordable pieces from Wayfair! Check out all of my favorite options below. Let's start with the focal point, which in this case is actually the floor. It makes such a statement! Now, no one wants to have to go through construction or a costly renovation to have black and white checkered floors, so we'll achieve the same look with a BOLD black and white rug! Since this room is partially open to the outdoors, we have specifically picked indoor-outdoor rugs that can weather the elements. Now for the main piece of furniture...the sofa! Something with classic, clean lines will allow you to add your own personal flair without overwhelming the room or becoming too busy. P.S. - A deep-seated sofa makes for great napping :) Those side chairs add so much character and old world flair amongst the bold patterns and bright pops of color. Here are a few similar options: I just can't get enough of those side tables!! The bright color is so bold yet blends with the space so nicely. Don't be afraid to try something so bright. I know it can be intimidating, but it's in a very small dose and gives this look that extra little push to FABULOUS! I love the use of a round tufted ottoman for many reasons--one, it's simply beautiful; two, it provides great extra seating options for when there's a crowd; and three, it can easily be transformed into a coffee table with the use of a tray! The traditional look of these will tone down the bold floor and the bright pops of color. Ceramic garden stools are another excellent multi-functional item. They are great as a small side table for a drink, or they serve as an extra seat for a guest. They are also easily movable within a space. Don't be afraid to group them in odd numbers; a collection of them really creates a dramatic impact. And last, but certainly not least, add the accessories!! The right accessories really finish the room off strong; don't skimp on these. And there you have it! The perfect multifunctional, indoor-outdoor space for your home! Spring is here and summer is on its way! Make sure you have the perfect place to enjoy the seasons with your family and friends...or alone if you'd rather make it a sleeping porch :) Thanks for reading! Cheers - Molly Spring is here for some of us and right around the corner for others... With spring comes many things: new beginnings... warmer weather... new blooms & blossoms... But most importantly, it's that time of year again for front porch sittin' and sweet tea drinkin'!! This is one of my favorite front porch scenes. Check out how to replicate this look on your own front porch, deck, or patio! Lets start with the paint colors
Now for the basic pieces Let's add the details For the final touches, add your favorite plants and greenery to a variety of pots &... Voila!!! Your porch is officially ready for Spring !! Thanks for reading! Cheers - Molly |
